DESCRIPTION
The Unseeing Eye is a 3-week long Alternate Reality Game developed for the Alternate Reality Games course at the University of Chicago. As prospective students to the University begin to uncover a strange and ancient academic society (or is it a cult?), they must band together to find out what this organization wants, and what lengths they might go to to achieve their goals. By solving puzzles, completing quests, and participating in live transmedia events, these new students will tackle intellectual and ethical challenges, and work together to save the school from the creeping influence of The Cult of the Unseeing Eye.

OVERVIEW
The Unseeing Eye was developed as a Alternate Reality Game (ARG) concept for the Alternate Reality Games course at the University of Chicago. Throughout the development process, we workshopped various elements of the ARG, including playtests of our rabbit hole and introductory module, and one of our live events, and a transmedia trail. The development concluded in creating a pitch deck for the ARG and doing a practice pitch/critique to a panel of ARG creators as well as career advisors and members of University administration who deal with funding.
For this project, I played a large role in the development of the story and puzzles of the game, and also acted in the playtests of the project, playing the role of Connor Elroy Squeebleton. I also procured a lot of our props for our playtests and managed budgeting and production scheduling.
