DESCRIPTION
The ACE Casino Murder Experience (ACME for short) is an immersive murder mystery run by the Intro to Game Design class. The murder mystery takes place in the grand reopening of a Casino after a big scandal, with Blackjack, Poker, and Craps available as games for patrons to play. During ACME, players witness several scripted scenes, interact with character actors, solve puzzles, and solve the titular murder mystery.

ACE Casino Murder Experience (ACME) is an immersive murder mystery run in the winter of 2023. This immersive performance was designed by a group of 25 students as a final project for the Intro to Game Design course over the course of 3 weeks.
For this project, I acted as a producer and as the point person for tech and crew. My contributions included:
Planning lighting and coordinating with set designers to procure lights and organize set around lighting options
Planned filming of the event:
Designed camera setup that was diegetic to the casino context
Set up and managed 'promo footage' cameras, worked with filmographers on shot lists and coverage strategies
Designed, modeled, printed, and installed 'security camera' GoPro housings
Designed sound system for the performance space
Worked with puzzle team to design security footage 'playback' system
Checked puzzle design against what was feasible within the limited timeframe and budget of the project.
